Jack
Tech Consultant
I studied psychology at university, a subject I picked because I found it interesting, and I still find anything psychology related gets my attention! After university, like many people, I was not sure what I wanted to do.
I applied for several graduate schemes and researcher roles (having worked as a psychological research assistant briefly) – one of these was a technology graduate scheme at KPMG. Consulting seemed a varied and interesting option and I had found some companies I liked in the Times Top 100 Graduates scheme book. The role involved a mix of business and technology across different projects and clients.
I started my career in consulting and designed and delivered data-focused solutions across public and private sectors for KPMG’s priority accounts. I currently work in KPMG’s London Insights Centre which runs events focused on digital solutions with clients – usually CDOs/CFOs/ Heads of Digital Transformation. In these session we reframe client challenges to understand which solutions could help.
I also work closely with Imperial College London, an academic alliance I have helped develop. Around work I have been able to volunteer in mentoring schemes and run events for charities (through corporate social responsibility initiatives) which is important to me. Balance is also important to me and outside of work I love to travel and climb.
