Rebecca
Broadcast Journalist
I grew up in Cyprus, and went to an international school there. Moving over to the UK, and starting university at Cambridge, was quite a shock to the system at first. At school I’d always liked both sciences and arts.
I chose to do Chinese at university partly because I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted to do, and partly because I found it very interesting and I wanted a challenge. After I graduated, I started working at the BBC – first in Scotland, and later in Singapore and London. I currently work for BBC World News.
