Josh
Co-Founder and Director of Innovation
My approach is do, learn, do better. This approach has taken me and my career on a real journey of discovery and adventure.
My story so far goes like this - I went to school in London and spent my gap year working in a law firm for 6 months (which I didn’t enjoy), followed by travelling for 6 months in the jungle of Malaysian Borneo, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Laos (which I loved!). I followed my passion for travel and learning about the world to study Geography at Cambridge University. My dissertation took me to St. Lucia to research Fair Trade in the banana industry.
After my degree I worked as a strategy consultant for LEK consulting; then completed a Master’s in Geographical Research at Cambridge University; then worked as an English Teacher for the British Council in France; then completed a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Queen Mary University London; then co-founded the World Boutique Hotel Awards; then worked as a project manager and team leader for Restless Development in London and Zambia; then worked as a Social Innovation Consultant for Plus Value in London; and now I am Co-Founder and Director of Innovation at Courage Global - a company that helps people take the leap into their dream careers through experiential learning-by-doing courses and immersive adventures around the world.
