After school I went to university to study Law and Economics initially, shifting to Law and Politics after a year, and then changing university entirely to study straight politics, after a short break where I qualified to be a snowboard instructor. Needless to say, I wasn’t the most academic student, and had little idea what I really wanted to do with all of this education when I left university, nor which direction I wanted my career to take me.

Trying to determine what to do after my studies I toyed with a couple of potential careers (journalism and accountancy) before finding an opportunity and interest in digital marketing at a holiday letting agency. I was fascinated by both the technology involved, and the idea that this form of advertising was a positive thing that both helped businesses communicate to customers, and also helped people find the things that they were looking for and interested in. Since then I’ve spent the last 10 years working for some of the largest media agencies in the world across London and Sydney, before moving into tech where I worked for Facebook in Singapore. I’m now back in London at another large tech company, where I lead business partnerships with large media agencies, to enable them to innovate and create value for brands through advertising.

I’ve spent the last decade working with a mixture of large and small businesses, as well as non-profits, governments and political parties, helping them use a variety of marketing tools (particularly Google, Facebook, Twitter and Amazon) to achieve their goals. I’m passionate about the positive impact marketing can have on businesses and society, as well as sharing my experience working for and managing in very people-centric businesses. Outside of work I love to travel (and made the most of the opportunity to see South-East Asia whilst in Singapore), am a big football fan and animal lover.
